RiverLogic: Tools to Transform Resistance and Create Flow in all of our Relationships
My book is both a learning memoir and a toolkit of teachings, stories and mindfulness practices, inspired by the river, to enrich our conversations, strengthen relationships and support a more fluid way of being. It draws on seven fundamental principles to help us to move beyond rigidity to create more openness and flexibility in our conversational spaces and leadership.
You will learn from:
Cutting edge brain research
Leading teachers and practices in Mindfulness
Courageous bridge people who model listening across differences
Case-studies to help you put the principles into practice
And, the river
You will learn to:
Draw people out
Deepen your ability to be present
Build bridges across differences
Listen to learn and help others discover things they didn't know they knew
Recognize and interrupt unhealthy communication patterns
Problem solve in new ways
“In a sea of books on personal development, communication, and emotional intelligence (EI), Denise has done something both useful and profound – she has brought together some of the very best thinking from across the domains of neuroscience, mindfulness and emotional intelligence into a single work. I have spent the past six years studying alongside some of the best in the field. I can honestly say that this book makes it on my top five list when it comes to learning about emotional intelligence and how we can cultivate EI competencies.”

“RiverLogic dares to address one of the most pressing issues of our day – the difficulty we have communicating with those who do not think like we do. Too often, in response, each party becomes immovable, rigid, calcified – like two rocks. In her book, Denise suggests we enter such conversations as two rivers, willing and able to flow with and into a space of mutuality. Drawing from her training in Organizational Development, leadership coaching, and Buddhism, she offers a deep, yet practical way through the darkest waters of misunderstanding.”
